Research Panel

- Hot key R
• Research is produced by Laboratories
• While viewing the research panel the Previous [<] and Next [>] keys will cycle to stars with laboratories.
• For component research, you can see how many other realms are researching that tech in the info panel at the bottom of the list.

  How to Research :

  • Open the research panel on a star with a laboratory.
  • Select a technology filter.
  • The technology panel will have a list of available technologies.
  • Difficulty is a relative value, an 8 would take twice as long as a 4.
Some technologies take longer to research and each level takes longer too.
  • Hover the tech you wish to research, click the begin button.

    Dedicated Research Bonus :

    • Dedicated research is when a laboratory continuously researches the same technology.
    • The bonus increases the amount of research done per cycle.
    • Each time the lab achieves a breakthrough the bonus increases by 10%.
    • Maximum bonus is 30%.
    • If the lab switches to a different technology the bonus is lost.

Example: A specific lab researches lasers level 1
      • Then continues researching level 2 with a 10% bonus.
      • Then continues researching level 3 with a 20% bonus.
      • Then the lab switches to another technology, the bonus is lost.
      • Later, the lab begins researching lasers level 4 with no dedication bonus.

        Dedicated Research Bonus
        Breakthroughs	Speed Increase
        1	10%
        2	20%
        3+	30%
